✨How does spray tanning work?

Spray tanning is when a fine mist is sprayed directly onto your body. This mist has an ingredient in it called Dihydroxyacetone (DHA) that interacts with your own skin’s chemistry to turn it tan, or bronze. 

✨How long does a spray tan appointment take?

Approximately 30 minutes from setup to breakdown.

✨How long will my spray tan last?

The tan can last up to one week- one 1/2 weeks. Factors for how long the tan last include: what products you use on your skin, how often you workout and shower, and if you are moisturizing with a lotion that contains DHA.

✨Can I shave with a spray tan?

You will want to shave and exfoliate 12-24 hours before your tan. If you need to shave after your spray tan, we recommend using hair conditioner instead of shaving cream.

✨Can I put my bra back on after my spray tan?

You will want to wear loose clothes immediately after the spray tan. Not wearing a bra is recommended after the service. 

✨Will a spray tan protect me from the sun?

No! You will need to use a water based sunscreen if you will be exposed to the sun even with your spray tan. The spray tan does does not protect you from UV rays.

✨How do I exfoliate before my spray tan?

You will want to use an exfoliating mitt in the shower to get off dead skin cells. This is best used in combination with a sugar scrub. A loofa and/or washcloth does not exfoliate the skin.

✨What should I wear during a spray tan appointment?

You may go nude or bring your own underwear/swim suit to wear during your tanning appointment.

✨How soon after my spray tan can I shower?

We use a rapid solution so you can shower as little as 1-3 hours after the appointment depending on how tan you would like be. We recommend leaving the solution on longer if you would like a deeper long lasting tan.

I have an event coming up; when should I book my tan?

The spray tan will look its best 2-3 days after application. If you have an event on a Saturday, we recommend booking Wednesday or Thursday. Friday morning would also be fine, but keep in mind the tan does take 12-24 hours to fully develop and then 1-2 regular showers after is when color is at its peak. If you are traveling, you can get the tan a few days before or the day before.

✨What products can I use after my tan?

All natural body wash & body lotion will be best for your spray tan. Dove, olay, and other similar soaps containing sulfates might strip your tan. Please make sure to use sulfate and paraben free soaps. Avoid using sunscreens containing alcohol.
